This 1953 Chevy 3100 1/2 Ton truck, in 2022, is one of the most desirable trucks for collectors. It's one of Chevy's post war line up of their "Chevy Advance-Design" that was produced from 1947-1955 with the 1954 the most desirable for its single pane windshield and the advanced 235 cid Blue Flame Six. This tow truck was another of those $12.50 (2 for $25) models (probably Jada) that caught my eye with its period graphics and surprisingly realistic detailing. I jazzed it up a bit with a diamond plate topped rear push bar with caution yellow/black striping and a bunch of extra reflectors from the parts bin. I diddn't go crazy on this model with just some paint here and there. I had made these two good old boy figures and thought it would make a nice display.
WOW! That is excellent-love this one.
