This early '50s Chevy 3100 dually tow truck was another find at the 2 for $25 counter at a show. After some paint, I went to the decal and parts bin for the emergency stripes and extra reflectors for the rear. I kept the logos because they have period correct phone numbers. In hindsight, I probably should have painted over the chromed wheels. I built the pair of good ole boys and, at the end, made a Stetson hat for the gray beard out of lead foil and putty with a rope hatband. I kept the heads and limbs mobile with library putty so I could pose them in various positions. For $12.50, the tow truck makes a pretty nice model.
Now that's a score!

@sizedoesmatter It's hard to understand how a diecast could be this cheap. OK. I paid $12.50 for it. What the heck could the wholesale price be for the seller's profit could be worth taking out a table at the show? $6 to $8 per wholesale?
Great job and great catch Rich. I don't know how they do it either, but I'm always happy when I can find deals like that. The 2 figures are cool too.💯@sizedoesmatter It's hard to understand how a diecast could be this cheap. OK. I paid $12.50 for it. Excellent Rich... wonderful work and a very cool truck...
Good stuff Rich. The figures really make the whole thing come together.
