BEAUTIFUL MODEL that I would be bummed if I didn't have it.  It sits proudly and boldly on my self and is another reminder of how lucky we were for about a 25 year period when the mints were cranking out these incredible replicas in record fashion.  And two convertible repaints of this '58 are knockouts too!

If I didn't know better I'd have sworn that was a 1:1 Pontiac.

It is a great job!  I wish I wasn't afraid to try the same thing.  Those DM '58 Pontiacs are to die for.

Thanks guys. The connie kit is preserved it the box. It can be reinstalled if someone else ends up with it and wants to put it back on. I don't know why they would want to though,  lol.😊 I know some folks like them, but I haven't ever seen one that improves the looks of a car. I just think they look awkward hanging off the back and detract from the overall aesthetics  of the design. Plus makes it more difficult to utilize the trunk normally. JMHO though.😊

Have all three 58 Pontiac models from DM. I don't mind the kits on some cars. If the kit on this model had the same bumper as the Impala, where the bumper was just around the tire itself, it would have looked better IMO.
