FM did a series of 1941 Lincolns. Issued in maroon in 1992, a dark blue (For Ford Internal use) in 1998, a beautiful LE in a medium blue metallic in 2000 and a drop dead fantastic Pewter Grey in 2008 (Known as Edsel Ford's Dream Car). In 2005 they issued the smallest # of these, a limited run of 500, in Eggshell White. (FM seemed to have a 'thing' for LE white Lincolns!) Eighteen years later it still is lovely:

ahah you have enlightened me Tony! I have the blue metallic and on very rare occasions I'd seen the darker blue for sale but thought it was unusually photographed model of the blue one I have. I also have the Edsel Ford dream car version with a missing hood ornament, where I'm searching for an old maroon junker replacement. Unusually Edsells car did not have exterior side mirrors, no idea why.
@geoff-jowett A friend of mine had a Mercedes-Benz 250 SE that had no wing mirrors. He'd occasionally complain when twisting around at junctions and when I asked why he would not add a mirror, he was horrified and pointed out that you could order the car without the hole punched into the body, giving it a purer line and integrity! Perhaps Edsel was of that school?
What an astoundingly great-looking Lincoln and even more so in this color ! Beautiful photographs of it, too.

interesting reasoning Charles, thanks.
Great conversations guys - thank you all! Perhaps those who dislike the outside mirrors, because they ruin the clean lines of the car, are of the same mind as Dr. Armand Esders. He ordered a Type 41 Bugatti Royale 'Roadster' in 1932 devoid of headlights. In his mind it spoiled the looks of the car and, besides, he never intended to drive it at night. 😎Â
Very informative Tony. I have the maroon, blue metallic and white. You are correct about DM and their limited edition white Lincolns. I'm fortunate to have Pebble Beach 61 convertible and the 56 Continental Marl II. The other rather rare white DM model is the 59 Thunderbird hardtop.

Yeah Bob, that white 59 T-Bird ain't cheap!!Â
Beautiful model. I like this one better than the maroon version.
