A few extra strips of chrome for the top of the line model just wouldn't do for the Mercury Division in 1957. Every possible styling cues and accessories imaginable was hurled at this Turnpike Cruiser and they all stuck. Honestly back then, I was absolutely repulsed by this beast. A half century later, I just love this over-the-top bejeweled behemoth.
