Unfortunately

BMW had the rights to MG. One of the problems is that bothteh Z3 and the MGF were started before BMW bought MG. There was talk that when new two-seaters were introduced that they would carry the MG name. Sadly, this didn't happen. It is interesting to compare the Z3 to MG TF. Ther is an almost 1 to 1 mapping of features on the TF into the Z3. Alas, BMW abandoned cars with a sense of history, letting someone whose ego exceeds his talent take over design.

Thanks for the kind words

You have captured the essence of what it is like to own an MG - especially a T series. As for simpler times, MG Ts don't even have door locks.

I get a lot of waves when I drive the TF. If I don't wave back it is becuase you need both hands and both feet to drive one.
