Chief Justice, who often has "visions" dancing in his head.....is seeing mostly Michigan bankrolls these days.....his lot, over on 34th, has been leased for the second time in as many years......it looks as if the usual suspects are back to ply their trade in the lucrative deforestation business.....any lessons they might have learned last year, seem to have been forgotten just as quickly as their fog-shrouded brains would permit

Showing up unexpectedly , and under the impression this was a no-questions-asked, illegal sled turn in site, the marvelous Wickersons cannot seem to summon a clerk to assist them

The three Eds must be cautioned repeatedly against loading the trees against the grain......As Santa is distracted with the ensuing clamor,Bob (Tall Bob) Johnson deftly removes the battery from Claus`s pickup truck and subsequently, grabs himself a damn fine tree

Well, this is certainly a very colorful and active tree farm. Much more going on here than ever went on the at the very boring one I worked at when I was a teenager.

@jcarnutz ...........maybe John , among stacks and boxes of old clothes in your attic, there lives a bit of pine sap from that very lot

We were SO anxious to put up our first Foil Tree (it lasts a lifetime).....On the very next year, we added the amazing rotating electric COLOR WHEEL

Eventually realizing just how tacky was our Christmas display,Dad brought home a Plug-in-every-Single-Branch-Fake-Tree (it lasts a lifetime)

As the "every-Single-Branch" began to display symptoms of mange and inexplicable branch loss, there came the SECTIONAL MODULAR TREE (it lasts a lifetime)....it was the tree to end all trees......so easy to erect that we could postpone the "trimming" further and further into the season .......So far,the record for longest postponement is somewhere in the neighborhood of Fifty-Three years

Chief Justice, looking around at all the shoppers present at his tree lot today, is quietly relieved that his secondary income gained from this enterprise is going so well.  Justice, better known by TV viewers by his pseudonym Jay Yellowlegs or his character's name Toronto, had been having a tough time in recent months.  The retired supporting actor had been shocked when the executives of OLD-E-TV had terminated the reruns of his long cancelled western TV show "Dude In The Black Mask".  It cut him deeply when they told him their reason for taking the reruns off the air, thereby ending his royalty cheques, was due to the recent death of his Pinto pony Scout while on parade.  The executives claimed that Scout's well publicized, fiery death after being rear-ended by a drunk Shriner driving a parade car was so inexplicable, spectacular and graphic that the beloved Pinto's continuing presence on TV would further traumatize viewers.  After enduring a short period of depression and bereavement, Chief Justice had been approached by three long term fans who, hearing of his misfortune, had kindly offered to take him in as a partner in their Christmas tree business.  These businessmen were local triplets Edward, Ed and Eddy Greentree who were in desperate need of a celebrity partner to be the face of their struggling business on commercials and in-person.  The partnership had thus far been extremely successful and had drawn huge crowds seeking trees and autographs this season; to the point of hiring Sheriff Buford for off-duty crowd control.  Casting his eyes over the crowd, Justice chuckled at the cast of characters present today.  As the OCD triplets toiled to position the trees on display in perfect symmetry, Buford was finishing off the last tray of donuts meant for the customers, while unwittingly being distracted by the offer of a free pepperoni stick by local rounder Lightfingers Larry.  It was well known that Larry and his partner Tall Bob Johnson were local auto parts thieves who never missed an opportunity.  Justice wasn't surprised to spot Tall Bob under the hood of Santa's truck parked nearby.  "What kind of an animal steals from Santa"; thought Justice angrily.  He was about to let Buford know what was happening right under his nose when his attention was drawn to a couple who were complaining loudly beside their van, demanding immediate service, haughtily stating they were the Wilkersons.  Justice pretended to not notice the very well dressed couple of regal bearing, who were obviously affluent and feeling very entitled.  Just because they had a few bucks, nice duds, and a shiny red car with wide whites wouldn't gain them any favor with this crowd, thought Justice with a smirk on his face.  Justice was pleased to see that the triplets had also hired local amateur singer Tammy Toone to attend today; her rendition of Oh Tannenbaum being sung from the truck deck set the mood very nicely.  He hoped that she would keep the attention of Alice, who had shown up today well into her cups as usual.  With the afternoon drawing to an end Chief Justice checked his watch; thinking it was just about time to see if he could chat up the blonde bimbo sitting at the end of the trailer.  The deluded past prime actor was convinced she was a groupie who had been eyeing him up all afternoon as he strutted about bare chested.  Little did he realize that she was actually busty grifter Betty Bibbs, on the lookout for another mark.......

...PPS   I had a `65 Plymouth Belvedere that used to emit a busty grifter any time you pushed 80 with it and then backed off all at once
