The people laying on the parking lot are a testament to the diner's self proclaimed logo "eat here even if it kills you".
@geoff-jowett Mom and Pop hobby stores (for real modelers) seem to be going extinct at an alarming rate. Around me, I wouldn't even know where to go anymore. There was nothing like going through a well stocked store and picking out various paints, and all the material you'd need to start or complete a project. Now there's the big chain stores like Hobby Lobby that's basically a craft store for moms that want to decorate their home.
@diecast1-24cars Cool! I have a "Mel's Diner" with 1/43s in the parking lot.
@rich-sufficool Rich we still have a few hobby store dedicated to modelling etc here in Sydney, one store that only sells model cars of all scales in the basement of a building in the hart of city owned and run by one guy...
the diner is spectacular Greg, and thank you for the invitation. Must admit, as Bob notes, I was a bit concerned that the group over to the left may have recently finished their hand crafted dim sims? The people laying on the parking lot are a testament to the diner's self proclaimed logo "eat here even if it kills you".
@rich-sufficool not sure if you've seen this Rich, I've posted it a couple of times. Old family store still running successfully in Melbourne that I returned to after a hiatus of some 60 years!
