There's a fantastic story behind Preston Tucker and his amazing innovated car that if you don't know much of it, spend some time and research their history. This is an early Franklin Mint model and lacks the refinement and parts count of DM's "Tin Goose" prototype model, but it certainly represents the 1:1 well.

I love this model, of the Tucker models FM issued-this color looks the best.

Excellent photos Rich.

Great photos of the FM Tucker Rich!  And I totally agree on FM capturing the essence of its uniqueness.  For those interested in getting more insight in to Preston Tucker's innovative car, I highly recommend this book.  It was published in 1989 by ON THE MARK Publications.  It is an exciting and informative read.

Also, here is some information that was provided on the TUCKER from Diecast Forum member Larry Hooper back in 2010.

I'm not sure how factually accurate it is, but the 1988 movie, "Tucker: The Man and His Dream" starring Jeff Bridges (directed by Francis Ford Coppola) is one I've watched more than once.

BTW, I have this model in my collection too.

John, I too, saw the 1988 TUCKER movie and found it very enjoyable.  I especially liked the court room scene near the end.  It was very prophetic.

George and all,  A more recent book of interest:  "Preston Tucker, and his battle to build the car of tomorrow"   By Steve Lehto (2016) Chicago Review Press

Lehto is also the author of "Chrysler's Turbine Car"  another good read
