Whoever ordered this combo on this 1971 'cuda was looking for the best of both worlds... cruising and street racing. It's a sweet little convertible with a Torqueflite transmission. But, loudly advertised with 'cop magnet' graphics, there's a 426 Hemi V8 with the equally ostentatious "Shaker" hood, which guaranteed when you pulled up to the light, the guy next to you would just look the other way. I was more of a sleeper car guy who reveled in surprising the opposition and not attracting every police cruiser in town. But, in some way, I do admire this ballsy package of options. It's the type of car old rich guys empty their wallets for at the Barrett-Jackson auctions.
Rich, beautiful presentation of a beautiful car.
some of those closeups are incredible Rich
Great photos..
Have it, love it. Coincidently I received a 1/64 scale model of this car today. I buy 1/64 scale cars and park them next to their 1/24 and 1/18 scale brothers in my collection.
@bob-jackman You are amazing, Bob. There seem to be no boundaries to your diecast collection.
neat presentation.... very much enjoyed.
Great photos. That's a very nice model.
