a late season wintry-mix storm knocks out the Tv wires and brings this small Prier Utility crew out......too late to save the Wednesday`s Cap`n Kangaroo show, there`s still hope for the last half of "Queen for a day"

Woofy is up to his usual antics, biting chains and peeing on the phone poles.....but the NEW safety horn kid proves to be an absolute WIZZ at pulling cable

If Captain K isn't available, I see no reason to bother watching Queen for a Day or even Queen for a minute. Yeah, I'm peeved; these outages occur if Mr Greenjeans merely spits on the sidewalk, let alone a wintery college mixer. Scared

I am honestly baffled here Frank......did that ghastly grandfather clock tip-over as a matter of habit?

@john-barry I was referring to the TV signal and maybe the spinning wheel (or did that just go round).  Always thought the clock was steady on his feet, or leaning against the wall for support.  🤪

I sorta get you now Frank........in MY rodent brain, the TV wire had been snapped clean off sometime in the hours of pre-dawn.....this only became a dire issue for booming babies when the time for Cap`n K had come and gone......as for the/a spinning wheel, didn`t that occur as a precursor to insistent mooses and ping pong balls?

Wasn`t there a TV show that played "The Syncopated Clock" as either a countdown device or even possibly as the main show theme?

You're right, John ! Several did it with this particular theme (with it's slightly later lyrics), I think including "The Early Show", "The Late Show" and others, too. Some things were also confused with this one but were actually something else. I still remember it as a kid and also doing it when very young in music class, lol !

@mikedetorrice    I seem to recall being inordinately proud,in grammar school,to trot out the words : " Syncopated Clock".......both as proof that I knew four syllable words and as an indication that I was educated in classical music.......these days it`s mostly counting my remaining teeth, and discovering ancient videos on "tube"

I always felt that Mr. Greenjeans never got the best supporting actor credit he deserved.
