When the top goes down, it disappears leaving a clean deck behind the seats. FoMoCo lead the American automobile world since 1957 with motorized panels that hid away a collapsed soft top and even a hard top. This feature was found in the luxury Licoln brand as well the entry level Ford. A forgotten feature for decades (as was the convertible itself). It has made somewhat of a comeback in some luxury marques. A great example of this feature is on the 1965 Thunderbird replicated well on this Danbury Mint model.

Super pictures of an outstanding model. As the owner of a 1/1 63 Sports Roadster I am frequently asked to operate the top mechanism.
