This is a model of the 1931 Mercedes-Benz SSK Mille Miglia winner that was driven by Rudolf Caracciola by Paul's Model Art. For its time, this model blew me away with its gorgeous painted wire wheels and detailed 3-D dash. Before I found this model, I had the Danbury Mint version (I even bought the pair of CMI LEs that were repaints). Later I discovered that , like FM's Hirohito Mercedes, they were just poor copies of another of PMA's models. Those DM SSKs were confined to some dusty cabinet somewhere in the house.
