thanks Kevin, I appreciate the thought. You cant see it from the U.S. ebay but the postage charge to Australia is $72, making that added to the $150, plus 10% tax, plus the exchange rate means I'd be up for around $370Aust. Back when DM was in business their postage cost was around $45, there was no tax and the exchange rate was more favorable to Aust dollars. I'm actually paying $375Aust for the new Automodello ISO, because of their free postage, and for some quirk, no tax.Hey Geoff, there’s a ‘35 on eBay that looks pretty pristine, but no box. It looks like he’s accepting any or all bids on his items. I bet you a nickel you could nab it for the $150 staring bid.
Ebays postage has gone crazy, some models show $125+ postage, and also it has become more unreliable.
Lucky I have most of the models I want. Occasionally one I want will slip through with lower postage and lower actual model cost, that I can grab.
Once again thanks for the suggestion Kevin.
ps. Also Snappy Tom has just gone up in the local supermarket too!!!
