Remember when looking at a brochure like this gave you goose bumps!  It offered a model for every collector and you couldn't wait to place your order.

Then the real fun began as you waited with anticipation for it to arrive on your doorstep.  You saw the box, got a tickle in your stomach and couldn't open it fast enough.

Seeing the model, you blurted out oohs and ahs as you experienced the warmest feeling running through your veins.  Excitement like this is what kept us happy.

So true.  Could not wait for the next catalog or brochure to show up in the mail.  Fortunately, I have kept almost all of the catalogs and brochures I received, so I can pull them out from time to time to reminisce.

Doing stuff like that is like having Christmas morning come often.  Smile

Well said guys. It's the brochures and catalogs that kept me in debt for all of those years.

LOL Bob to the debt all those years.  I remember when I'd have as many as 7 or more cars on order and I'd be paying on 4 or more others at the same time.  They were the most fun bills I ever paid though.  Smile And the family never suffered or went without food, so all was good.  Both our daughters still got their college paid for by us and were able to retire debt free.  Moral of the story is, I'd do it all over again.

I like hearing that you saved your catalogs and brochures.  In my opinion, they are as much a part of collecting as the models themselves were.
