Title and C of A
How important is it to the models value is DM's Title or FM's C of A or does it really matter?
Roger, to some it matters quite a bit, to others...
...not so much. Generally both are important to buyers that want an entire 'package' when buying a mint model; the car, the paperwork and the box(es)that originally came with it.
How much varies by model and, again, buyer.
Tony is right on the money. Some must have the paperwork, others could care less.
Correction Mark: the phrase is "couldn't" care less. A common error. Just one of my peeves. (-:
To me, Mark is right.... If you said "could not care less" (2 negatives), I would interpret that as meaning the person "does care more", meaning he wants it all. Again, JMO.
English is my second language, but Al is right about the phrase.
Could't care less = don't give a crap
Could't care less = there is no way I can care less than I care, because I don't care at all
Mark is technically right too, if he meant to say "others could care less" as equal to "others don't care that much"
Me is thinking them gramer poleece is out too gett me.

LOL, love it.
Why don't we just say, "Others don't give a sh** about the paperwork". . . LOL
That's the best I've heard.!!!!!!
no worries, they couldn't care less...
... all were fired or relocated to border security.
And for me, having the car is the MOST important part of the deal. I can't display a box, nor would I. And I certainly have never been concerned about having a collection of boxes that are stacked in a closet somewhere. It's (in my opinion) a waste of space.
Not to mention, the more cars one has, the space for boxes has to be monumental in size.
As for "titles" and "certificates of authenticity", they are only good to those that want to show them off to their friends that "the car is their's and it's an original". And for the record, I've got all mine that have come with each car, but I've NEVER ever showen them to anyone. So actually they are (again in my opinion) not worth anything either.
I do understand the need for the boxes, should someone wish to sell their cars, or those who put more value in the supposed resale of their cars, but for me, it's THE CARS that are the collection. Period.
And the cars are for MY enjoyment only and NOT for resale. After I'm gone from this planet, I "couldn't care less" (LOL, I had to get that in) what happens to any of them.
They are/were for my personal enjoyment only. Now I don't speak for others here, just giving my personal perspective.
