There are two Hachette models in my collection. A 1946 Russian built and badged 1941 US model Packard. And another car that is a dead ringer for an American 1938 DeSoto Sedan.
These are excellent value models at around $38USD a copy + shipping to the US. I bought mine from a seller operating on ebay out of Russia.
The models are built using both metal and plastic - a kind of resin.
Shipping was good value and an additional cost, almost doubling the initial outlay; but offered tracking and insurance like USPS Priority International. Delivery time was about ten days to Portland OR.
Don't be fooled by the price though, believing these models are cheap and nasty, coz they ain't.

At well over $200USD heading towards $300, several high end resin build models in 1/24, while offering a greater level of separate detail, but nothing that half and hour with BMF wont fix, are very similar in their effect to the Hachette models. Hachette and the expensive resin models offer almost no features like opening doors and big time interior and under hood engine detail. Neither are equipped with the same features as FM & DM models. But with the Hachette models being only 15% of the price of the top end resins excellent buying can be had - more bang for your buck, you might say, and as the barmaid said to the sailor.
