When you were doing all the reviews of the different mint models, did they send them to you for the review?  If so, did you have to send them back or did you get to keep them?  Just curious.  Knowing how many reviews you did back in the day if you did get to keep them, then you should have some huge collection.

John,

Both Mints and all the various 1/18th makers I reviewed for, sent the models for me to keep as compensation for the review and photos and to list them on the website. Only once did I have to return one for DM, the 1/12th 1932 Cadillac and for FM, a 1/12th 1967 Corvette.

I also was paid to do some ad copy for DM's sales brochures. There were a number of those  - too many to recall.

I wish! I have most of the Corvettes; at one point I had every single one that DM & FM made. And with the balance of the models the total is just over 400 1/24th scale cars. About 600 counting all scales and including tractors (1/16th scale.)
