FM's 1935 Auburn 851 Speedster - White. Issued 1990. I 'borrowed' the white top from the later-issued FM blue iteration since I thought the original red one looked so cheesy.

Yes, the white top is much more suitable and likely more authentic. Great images, Tony.

Excellent pictures Tony. I agree that the white top looks better on the white version. I also have the blue car along with the black/green version with the green top.

I like the red top. It goes with the side spears. I just rubbed a pastel chalk into the top to make it more like fabric.

Anyone else watched the latest Perry Mason series, where Dellas girlfriend drives a superb two tone version? One of my original models, had it for 30+ years, still love it!

I like the look of this model with the white top. I hoped to paint mine someday, I've always hated the red top. The chalk idea is interesting, I might try that instead.
