Is it still alright to post "trade wanted" on the Forum. I know we could in the past but have seen none in the new format. I'm not referring to ads for sale, auction plugs, looking for a certain model or promoting your own auction, just trades between members. I don't think trade posts would dominate the forums but if that is a concern, then possibly create a Trade Forum. What do you guys think?

Alan, I agree with you on this idea.  There doesn't seem to be making much headway on the 'Auction, Reviews or the price guides.  I'm sure I have something someone's looking for and there is always a model I'm after.  I know that I have sold a model or two to you in the past.  Just between me and everyone who uses D4C, this whole operation is going on too long.

Allan, it is still acceptable to do trades and make a 'trade post' in the appropriate scale forum.

And I, too, anxiously await the auction and car list archive!

@perrone1 The lack of an auction is really annoying because I have a lot of models I'd like to sell; but the lack of archives is killing me because I like to provide a backstory for both the car and the model when I post pics and my memory ain't what it used to be.

We're all missing the auctions and archives aren't we? Ebay is a minefield these days (maybe always was!) but as mentioned in another post prices are just unrealistic. A few desirable DMs go for accurate high market prices but so many are just listed at ridiculous starting prices. Its global too, its happening here on the Australian ebay, and I have made a list of Lus models from the Unique post and last night spent a bit of time searching and the same thing happens, I dont recall seeing one as a genuine auction, all listed as overpriced buy it now mostly from Japan. There have been some UK sellers LM Miniatures Le Mans Ferraris that have been sitting there for years.
