Probably difficult for Connie to finger point the father..........

My money is on Connie's ex- lover, the biker dude.
Anyway, the two new cot bunnies will need to work extra shifts with Connie out of action for a while.
Scuttlebut around town has it that a new business venture is being kicked off by biker dude Earl Ray, or Jimmy Ray or their great grandmama, Faye Wray who they persuaded to come out of retirement to ride heard over the project. Apparently Faye is no longer afraid of great heights or enormous primates - definite attributes in dealing with ex-biker dudes.

Is that biker shop gonna be here in Niburu?

... I 'spect Eddie Ray's involved with them bikers, and with Connie's delicate condition.

You're right... it's good that Faye ain't skeered of heights. Me? I'm afraid of heights AND widths.

Yes, it is, John, right there in mid-town where the old beauty shop used to located on the east side of The Dewdrop Inn cocktail lounge and pick-up joint. They pull a damn fine pint of Pilsiner, if you don't mind my tellin ya.
Connie's mom and big sis operated outa there too just after the Korean war.
They told the town Sherriff they were operating a first aid station for wounded vets - guessing that this was only half a lie.

Connie has just realised that Eddie Ray is lower than a snakes belly in a wagon rut, so getting any child support Jack outa him may be a problem for Connie. Mom to be , Connie, might be better of to finger some other Ray with more than his fair share of sympathy and human compassion surely missing from every other Ray in the whole of Jessup County.

Thanks for the heads up...

... can't says I've ever been to The Dew Drop Inn. Is that over near the Slide It Inn?

That there rich college boy might be the culprit. If you remember from Chapter 4, (The Plot Moistens), sonny boy had bought a '57 Chevy and, later a bass boat (Chapter 5) from Connie. Everyone knew they had a little fling. He's been stopping by regularly, hitting on Connie and the other babes. Apparently, this time Connie told him he's the baby daddy and he started a scene. That's why the cops showed up again (Chapter 11).

Stay tuned....

Bout time for...

Liquor in the front, poker in the rear - one of them joints has to have THAT sign, right? Yes it is tasteless, but if the sign fits... so to speak.
