Danbury Mint gave us both the Chevy and the Ford for '56.  Both are remarkedly replicated and must have's.  I'm not sure who the photographer is of these outstanding photos, but the only thing better than the pics, are the models themselves.

Both are excellent models in period correct colors.

I agree, but that Chevy needs to have its "skirts" put back on.  Doesn't look good without them.

Hi George,

Not a fan here of skirts. Only on some cars but not on the '56 Bel-Air.

We all have our likes and dislikes and for years now I've always appreciated your opinions on and in our modelling community.

You've always been an A+ contributer to these Forums.

Thank-you for that. 👍

@100ford2003

Thanks for the kind words.  And hey, no problem with differing on fender skirts.  The world would be awful boring if we all agreed on everything.  But then, on second thought, maybe it would be a better world because we did.  Naw, it would be boring.  Smile

Both gorgeous. My favorite would be whichever one was in my hands if asked! Cool

George, how about a '56 WITH skirts, in drop-top form?

ABSOLUTELY!  Have it, and love it.  I have the other two FM color combo's of this convertible too.  All in my opinion are outstanding models.  As for the DM red/white HT above without the skirts, it came with them, so I'm assuming they were removed for the photos.

TWO of Franklin Mint's best '56's WITH fender skirts.  Oh so much better with them.
