When DM was cranking out the goodies, these '57 Caddy's were two of their best!

DM 57 CADILLACS #1
DM 57 CADILLACS #2
DM 57 CADILLACS #5
DM 57 CADILLACS #6

I think the Rose color convertible from DM is equally beautiful.

They, no doubt, are beautiful models George. When the Mints were issuing them I had already turned my collecting 'addiction' to the 1/18th scale so I missed out. "Que Sera Sera" as Ms. Reynolds once sang. Did you make your AM coffee run this fine Sunday ?

I did indeed make my coffee run on my way to church this morning.  So Steve, you mention that you went over to 1:18 scale, do you still collect that scale?  It seems that there is a never ending supply of new models in that scale.  Which of course is always confusing to me, because it again makes me wonder why us diehard 1:24 scale guys are left out to dry.

G'dmorning George,

I quit collecting almost 20yrs ago. I kept less than 15 when I found a buyer for my 200+ models.

I still have a few 1/24 Mints. I find them too nice to part with.

WOW!  Didn't realize you'd quit the 1:24 scale collecting all that long ago.  Seems you're content with your decision, so that's all that matters.

I miss them

I'd miss mine if I didn't have them.  I've mentioned this in the past, I start most every morning with my coffee going in to my model car room and just looking at them.  It's is relaxing and a nice way (for me) to start my day.  So YES, I'd miss them if I didn't have them.

Nice pictures George. I have all three of these beautiful Cadillacs. As to collections, I would miss my little cars if I couldn't see them every day.

Mr. Jackman, I'm guessing that in your house with your 6,000+ models adorning every open wall space, that if they were gone, your home would be completely void of any trace of who you are.  I just have one complete wall lined with models and if they were gone, I'd be lonely.

WOW!  Thank you for the kind words.  Regarding those now missing reviews on the old Forum site, I made it a point to write a review of every mint model I personally owned.   And I also enjoyed the reviews of others on that site.  It's just sad that we no longer have access to them.  I know Tony found some, but it would be great if mine and everyone's reviews were still available to us.  Thanks again!
