wonderful car. Model looks great, and a rare one, thanks Lu
Nice looking Jag. I'm going to try and put two and two together here. Because it's left hand drive, this model would represent an exported version. When I was in France a few years ago I noticed a lot of cars with yellow headlights. Since this Jag has yellow headlights, is it a French version? What is the purpose of yellow headlights? Did other counties use them as well? Just curious...
You are correct! It is a French spec MK2!
Regarding the yellow headlight question, here is what I found online:
“In 1936 the French government passed a law stating all vehicles produced from 1937 onward must have yellow headlights...Yellow tinted headlights are referred to primarily as "selective yellow". The purpose of having yellow tinted headlights is to improve visibility at night by removing blue to violet colors from the wavelength spectrum.”

Open Wheel Tuesday! Today we have a factory-built Maserati 250F from Western Models. Mr. Juan Manuel Fangio drove the 250F and won the 1957 German Grand Prix. Western Models made a couple of 1/24th scale open-wheel racers; however, this one has a unique trick up its sleeve – the hidden oil and fuel tank in the tail cone. Enjoy!
I love old open wheel racers, from the very beginning until late 50s. My only 1/18 is the CMC version of this car. Continue to appreciate your posts, thanks Lu.

Eye Patch Wednesday! Here we have a 1931 Mercedes SSKL from Paul’s Model Art. The head lamp covers made this little gem so unique. The SSKL was also sold under the Danbury Mint and Creative Master brands. Notice the differences? If you don’t have it and only want one, I would recommend the Paul’s Model Art version.
