I had this Audi on my eBay watchlist for looong time, never pulled the trigger. I liked that all 5 doors are operational. There was a version without livery too.

@chav I heard the paint quality is even worse on the plain version.

4,000 views! Who said 1/24 is dead?

Off-Road Wednesday! Today we have a Beijing Automobile Works BJ2022 Warrior light utility vehicle. This one definitely belongs to the “it is so bad that it’s good” category. The biggest issue is the inaccurate proportion. A fellow model car enthusiast produced this resin curbside model in very limited quantities. It gets an A+ for effort.

JDM Thursday! Today we have a fourth-generation 1998 Toyota HiAce Super GL from DISM. The build quality is good. The rear hatch and the side sliding door are operable, and the front wheels are poseable. It came with two rear hatch struts. Once opened, the struts can be installed to hold the hatch up - kind of weird. To avoid potential damages, I did not install mine. The holes above the brake lights are for the struts.

Aussie Friday! Here we have a 1973 Chrysler Valiant Charger XL from Trax. They did a great job recreating the Charger in miniature scale. Similar to FM Mercedes 450SL, the window cranks are operational! The engine compartment is nicely detailed. Check out the grille mesh! In the words of Steve Irwin, what a beauty!

The support struts are likely an additional detail to make the model closer to the 1:1.

I like the light bulbs in the headlight and the tailgate lights, nice detail.

@lu Hey Lu, a great local! Hope you have the earlier VH R/T model. I think it was Trax original 1/24. A great car, I bought one in 1972 and really worked the living daylights out of it!!!

@geoff-jowett The VH R/T is a great model. Trax really did a fantastic job. Will post some pictures soon.

Ebbro Saturday! Today we have a Honda NSX Type R from Ebbro. Its 1/24th line is seldom mentioned in the Western Hemisphere. Ebbro primarily focused on Japanese vehicles, with Porsche 911 as the only exception. Ebbro’s casting is thinner than the Mints; therefore, it feels a lot lighter. The front tires are not steerable but poseable. Compared with the regular NSX, the most obvious difference is the frunk lid.

I have a few Ebbros, they are great models. I was hoping that the Toyota 2000 GT repaints would have led to more new releases, alas no.

The 2000GT reissue was a big disappointment for me. First they reissued a limited edition color, silver, which is a big "no, no". And then the new color was black?!

Much better:
