A good El Dorado Brougham (SS Top)is bringing about $50,000 today I sold it for $10,000 in 1972

Bought a Corvette for $3,600 plus $300 for a second top (Hard) & sold that in 76 during the aftermath of a Divorce for $10,000.00 so I did not do bad. That guy has given me Rite of First Refusal but when I spoke to him a year ago he thought he wanted $15,000 & when I said Ok he said well if you are so eager to buy it it must be worth more so I will keep it for now. I would have given $20,000.00 It only has 90 K on it I sold it with 84K on it and it is spotless but needs a re-paint due to age. Has some chicken scratch on the fenders as most GM cars had in those days. I still have two Packards(55,56) & a 65 Thunderbird Special Landau which I don't use enough to worry about gas mileage. They are not Daily Drivers. My car stash is 16 cars so we have much more efficient cars to drive daily, 05 Mazda 6, 98 Chrysler Cirrus, 88 Pontiac Fiero GT those all get upwards of 26+MPG. The 84,86,89,96 Camaro's all get 19-20 MPG. Toyota GT Convertible (88) 30 MPG as does The 96 Acura GSR. 95 Cadillac averages around 18 unless you are doing freeway then 23-24MPG The Escalade well 12MPG Guess what doesn't go anywhere anymore? Just like the 72 429 Ranchero & the 73 Boss 351 Mustang both of those are 10 MPG. The 28 Horse Bolens Iseki Tractor does pretty good but no protection from the weather& seats One. The AMC Mail Van 6 cyl does 17.
