Years ago, Revell put out diecast kits of movie cars. One day they were on sale so I bought this and the two Bullitt cars. They are 1/25 but displayed together you wouldn't notice. I invested some time, paint and after market decals for the engine bay. Is this model accurate beyond the license plates... no. Actually none of the ones I have including a 1/18 are. They always sport extras like the optional sport gas filler/cap. The movie car was more plain-jane. As to the "mystery engine" that was hinted as being supercharged, this one, like most, has a 440 6-Pack. Anyway, they're all nicely done. The diecast bodies are pre-painted and only the hood opens. But it sports that classic "pistol grip" shifter so it sucked me in. LOL

Rich: Thanks for sharing the photo's. I like what you did with the engine bay. I also have the 3 cars you mentioned. If I am not mistaken, Revell did a lot of different kits. I cannot remember how many I have, but I would buy them and build them with some extras as well.

VERY cool Rich! Your detailing, as usual, is fantastic! Here's two of the cars used in the movies. Member, Tom Ciryak and his wife, Donna, stayed with us a few years back and we all took a ride to Sevierville, TN., to the Floyd Garret Muscle Car Museum. He currently owns these two - I took a couple pics:
You'll note that one is pristine while the other was kept exactly as it was when it finished shooting the movie.

Rich, I bought the same three kits but the only one I built was the Bullitt Mustang. One day I'll tackle the other two...

@pete-rovero I found some old pics of the two Bullitt cars. The pics are not great quality (they're OLD!), but, if you want, I'll post them.
