Stripped and almost ready for factory correct Snowcrest White. I keep breaking things during this project, but nothing unfixable, so far. Fingers crossed.

@geoff-jowett It’s all in pieces for painting. Will need to mask only the underside of the hood and hinges.

Paint went on good. Will let it dry for a week or two before wet-sanding and polishing.

I love that it’s gonna look like my Dad’s first new car in Fall of ‘58. I was 6 and fell in love with that Impala. Were you able to save the Chevrolet insignias?

@100ford2003 Yes, the hood insignia is removable, and the “Chevrolet” script beneath it is available on a decal. All other insignia come off with the trim.

My Dad also bought a Snowcrest white 1959 Impala with a blue interior in the winter of 59/60. First car I ever road in. Born in 61.

Dayum, we’re almost brothers !! Dad had that multi-blue interior too 👍 The ‘59, 61 and 65 are my fav Impalas ever .
