WCPD '61 Chevy sells for $2001
I know it's a blue jewel coupe but $2000? I was outbid at $650 and dropped out. Just can't justify that amount of money.
I was watching this one as well. Did not bid, but watching with fascination. One of these sold on on the bay in April this year for $154 and then again in September this year for $671. Go figure...!!!
I wonder what they'll be worth if or when they develop paint rash
Wow! No rash on mine, thank goodness.
Yeah, ALL mine have rash - some mild, some ridiculous.
I have this one and unfortunately it has a small bit of rash developing.
I was able to buff out some, but not all.

23 of 29 of mine went to rash
Depressing isn't it?
R U referring WCPD models?????
I only have 2 WCPD models and haven't bought anymore because of what I've heard, and I won't at those prices. I'm glad I never bought any of my models for investment as even some of the rarer ones have developed some sort of rash. These are in displays in a controlled environment and out of sunlight but it's made no difference. I'll just enjoy them as they are while I can. It still sucks though.
Jim ... That is just freakin' heart breakin ....
We all buy these lil cars in good faith
We all spend various amounts of money on these diecast cars
and we blindly accept and believe that these die cast cars will out last us
And then ... when the rash arrives ... it is just plain heart breaking
23 out of 29 .... I am really sorry to hear that
PIC - No rash in any of my West Coast models.
Guess I got lucky.
