Well it has been what, almost ten months since Danbury...
Announced the 59 Pontiac and now the delivery will be November. If it is anything like my 66 Charger I will look for it in the spring.
During the drought of 1/24th diecast releases I have discovered American Excellence Products, which are 1/43 scale and I know many of you consider these substandard.
While these cars dont have the operating features or even engines, I think even the most discriminating collector would be surprized at the quality, proportions and detail of these little gems. Oh and they come in plastic display cases.
Today while going to pickup my AE 75 Seville at my favorite hobby store, Autozone Hobbies in Birmingham Mi there sat a Black on Black 1965 Buick Rivera in 1/43 from Spark. I am here to tell you the picture on this site does it absolutely no justice. This thing has a blk paint job a mile deep and it has the Buick chrome plated road wheels. The emblems are photo etched, chrome around the windows, the grille and tail lights are excellent along with the front and rear bumpers not to mention the stand up hood ornament. The only real issue is the tires seem just a little small but other than that I would recommend this car to anyone.
This is my 10th 1/43 in 2 months and really enjoy them.
I know they are going to offer a 59 Dodge around the first of next year and a couple of others that might be of interest. I am sorry I missed the 57 Buick Caballaro station wagon which is sold out, but hopefully will reissue.
Thanks for reading, I just want to add my two cents worth.
