From the late '30s to the mid fifties, a lot of the cars designs focused on the nose with with intricate grills, badging, scripts and and, of course, the hoof ornament. This 1941 Cadillac Series 60 Fleetwood sedan has it all... and more. The smiling winged lady looks over an incredible Cadillac badge that I wish I had in my collection. The latticed grill extends from fender to fender incorporating separate parking lamps and amber directionals. Below the chromed bezeled headlamps are a pair of chromed "gun sights" with central red "V" medallions that remind you that Cadillac don't do 6 cylinders. Like its stablemate, the Continental, it's devoid of side spears with only rocker trim from front fender to rear skirt... tasteful in a European motif. The interior is a symphony of burl wood and leather.
Such a lot of detail on this model. Beautiful and perfectly captured.
great coverage of a superb model, how good are those leather seats hey? thanks Rich
Just like the old days. I read your writeup and looked at the wonderful pictures. I started for the phone when I suddenly remembered that this was several years later and there was no way I could place an order...then I realized I already had the model. Yep, everything you said about the model was right on and right there in my hands. As a bonus, I also have the green version. Thanks Rich for a few seconds of what once was a wonderful time.
Been meaning to get this one. It's generally earlier than I collect, but I love the looks.😎💯
I like the "nose job" on this one and I love the model. The green version is awesome too. Both are favorites on my shelves. THANKS for the great pics!
