1/43 Hauler from Spain

Can't remember who first spotted and recommended this one, but as soon as I saw it, I grabbed one from a Spanish dealer:

It's a very delicate plastic (trailer) and metal (cab) model. The seller sent it to the US simply wrapped in brown paper, no bubble wrap, no outer box... It comes in a basic clamshell and thin window box, so I was extremely surprised - and more than a little relieved to find nothing missing, damaged or broken.

As you can see, for half a sawbuck, there's good attention to detail.

The trailer is made of very thin plastic with a diamond plate effect.

The back ramps are locked in the upright position, so while I can't make vroom vroom noises while I'm loading the trailer, it will ensure that the cars stay put.

The box has no markings about the model, the maker or a website - just "Made in China".

So, what would be appropriate cars to display on here? There's plenty of room for four to six, depending on their size.

It's a French Unic MZ36 TCA from ca. 1962 by IXO/Altaya...

made for a Spanish partwork series of semi trucks.

By the way, Spanish and French sellers seem to like the "no frills" packaging method - I have similar experiences.

Cheers

I have been thinking of something similar,on which to load some 1:43 cars. but

I don't have covered display area for something this large and it would become a dust collector, I'm afraid.

I had a collection of car carriers but they take up too much space so I sold them all.

But but standard size in the US is five cars on top and four on the lower level. Once I saw one with a tenth car in the "basement". For a real great toy it should be adjustable for all sizes of vehicles. so you could mix large and small vehicles at will. More of a toy but then they were all toys until 1962.
