Dipping back to over a century ago, Americom does a quite accurate replica of a 1918 Cadillac Type 57 coupe in fire chief livery. A review of my Cadillac book shows there are many possibilities for a modifier such as me to work with this inexpensive diecast/plastic model and produce different body styles. Currently on the work bench is a conversion to a four door sedan but the future could produce a roadster, open town car, or a phaeton.
