In 1949 Ford Motor Company released its first post- war almost new Lincoln- Cosmopolitan. The car was available in 4- dr sedan, fastback and convertible forms. The last one was reproduced by Brooklin. In future I hope to find this model but at this moment no offers on the market.
The 1950 4- dr sedan was made by SMTS for Fa.Daimler House from Holland under Conquest Models brand. I found it in January and spent six months on negotiations to buy it. This model is extremely expensive but very well- done having many chrome and separate parts. I dedcribed all 37 numbers of the Conquest Models in my article published on defunct MAR online and later reissued on Pitlaneitalia. This is the first Conquest in my collection and I'm very impressed of this model.
I collect the Ford Motor Company vehicles and very important to close every model year. Sadly, nobody produces the 1951 Cosmopolitan. A good chance for Brooklin SMTS to fill this gap.
Nice one ! What a beautiful automobile and replica of it. My family had a (real) 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan cream-colored coupe and it was one of the first cars I remember when, as a baby, I played with the spring-loaded trunk latch on it.
I have the Brooklin convertible and the Conguest sedan. My Conquest model is brown with a beige top and I agree it is an excellent model.
