On the workbench is a resin kit from Italy produced by Arena.   Shown are some of the parts such as photo etch window frames, my own wheel covers,  chrome bumpers, grill,  dashboard, etc.  The plain baseplate chassis got some enhancements for more realism and I added fender spats (skirts) since body casting did not have them.

This is the fourth Arena kit I have built recently, the rest being 1952 Chryslers, sedan, club coupe and a sedan conversion into a Town & County station wagon.

Great project, John.  I've never tried an Arena kit;  I'll look for one.  I'm anticipating your final report whenever.   Thanks for the post.

I look forward, John, to more pictures as your model progresses. It will be nice to see a ‘53 as most of the models are of the ‘54. Do keep us posted!

I'm with David K. and look forward to seeing the progression of your work. I have always liked the 53,54 Chevies and have the Brooklin 54 and Motor City 53 BelAir hardtops.
