Several years ago John Roberts did this Aero Willys hardtop based on Brooklin’s ‘54 2-door coupe. The colors are factory correct Coronado Sand over Coral Rust Poly.

Another JR work of art. Thanks for posting David K.
The John Robert's Willys is amazing. A wonderful color.
Brooklin crafted a brilliant model in the Aero Willys. Seldom seen these days in 1:1 (I've never actually seen one) so having this one from Brooklin is great.

In Canada I remember them being around in small numbers as a kid but it's extremely rare to see one now. Same goes for the Hudson Jet.
I have seen a couple Hudson Jets in Museum's and one at a car show, a convertible prototype. They are interesting cars to see now, but they always make me wonder why it was ever produced. I am very curious as to why Hudson execs thought this would be the answer to Hudson's future.
As with so many other bygone auto manufacturers, desperate situations always lead to desperate measures for salvation.

Yes, the timing of these smaller cars is puzzling as to my knowledge there was nothing happening that would prompt people to buy smaller. However just 4 years later Rambler scored with the American. Timing is everything as they say.
@jack-dodds And now you've got me wondering, Jack. Maybe, somehow, in the editing process the images became reversed? I promise you that this is an American-style left hand drive. Here is my original picture (#1) and one I just took (#2). 'Tis a mystery.
(later) Okay, I solved the mystery. The first picture has a shadow because of my poor lighting. When enlarged (click on the picture), the steering wheel is on the left and the shadow is still present. Whew! Thought something weird was going on!
@jack-dodds Jack, for a good (and short) story of the Jet, see
