1955 Chevrolet by Collector's Classics

I find the shape of the CC '55 a bit boxy, maybe too wide. However, without buying a three-figure Motor City, it was my only choice for an Indy pace car.

The Sunstar has a much better shape - perhaps I'll get some decals someday and a red/white version of this one:

Indeed too wide. Also when you compare the 55 Chevy with the other Collector Classics models
But it looks good in that diorama!

I agree the Sunstar model is outstanding.
Collector Classics & Hemmings Classic Car
I have a whole group of Collector Classic models, but not the 1955 Chevrolets, because I have many from different manufacturers. I do have many Lincoln Continentals, 1953 Fords, 1954 Mercury's, 1956 De Sotos, a Packard, and Studebaker Avanti. They all are just a little boxy and slightly too wide, but I think they have a certain charm about them, and the colors are right on the money. I wouldn't trade them for anything. They are just so neat to my eyes.
By the way, I just received my April issue of Hemmings Classic Car magazine. You will want this issue. A big article on 1942 automobiles, with a feature on the 1942 Lincoln Zephyr Convertible Coupe, plus a multi-page article on wood bodied station wagons, plus the Cantrell Body Co., Coach builders of station wagons.
I've included a photo, which is appropriate for this issue of my 1942 Studebaker President DeLuxestyle Land Cruiser sedan (a really long name). Fits right in.

Raymond, I'm with you on this month's Hemmings Classic Cars. It's a special issue!
Oh yes, I still like my Collector's Classics models, including the '55 Chevy. I remember buying it new, about 30 years ago, at the old Asheville (NC) Diecast store. If I remember correctly, it cost about $20.
Yep, the April issue Hemmings Classic Car IS a classic issue. Dont miss it!
You are right John, that is what I had to add. I am positive about the CC range
Raymond, I totally agree with what you say about Collector's Classics.
