As promised here is the completed Chevrolet 210 2 door sedan.   Yes, I only do replicas of real production cars, not phantoms so no El Camino conversion.   Model makers usually do the top of the line cars in a range so I did a 210 for variety.   Solid colors were available but not common in 1956 but with this project I had some exact match rattle can paint for the roof and deck lid so was able to preserve the factory turquoise for most of the car.   That will not be the case in the next project which will be a two tone Belair four door hardtop although Chevrolet did offer a 210 four door hardtop in 1956.

AWESOME! No doubt your Bel Air 4-door hardtop will be spectacular ...  (but I'd really like to see the 210.. )

I admit to being confused. Have you fabricated the 2-door hardtop from another of the panel vans, or are both your conversions from a third, '55 model as discussed in the '40s Pick-Up thread ?

If this is the two door hardtop you are referring to, I cannot take credit, it is a box stock U S Model Mint white metal item.

@john-quilter No. Sorry for not being clear. Put simply, did you fashion both blue models or just the car?

The sedan delivery is a stock Esval item.  They do a two door 210 wagon and a four door Belair wagon as well.

Great conversion. I guess this takes more than care and talent, but also a keen eye and instinct to see what is possible.

A lot of work to make a 4-door hardtop, especially using an Esval as a base. Why not just seek out a Motor City? (Yes, I know, the price).
