Yes, it lacks the chrome detail yet for its time it was an excellent rendition of America’s most pricey production car that with the only option available—air conditioning—sold for just north of $10,000 a copy.

We should remember that the real thing hadn't much chrome, either, and I find in a line-up with contemporaries, the Brooklin holds its own well.

What an amazingly cool Brooklin 1/43 white metal Continental ! The subject cannot be beat and these automobiles display very well. I have a white and a black 1956 Continental in 1/18 from Yat Ming Signature and these are real favorites.

@100ford2003 Yes.  I have a book on Lincoln issued by Ford which gives a detailed history of Continental, including the fact that it was delivered in a velvet bag.

@100ford2003 @charles-rockett  Oh, I thought the Brooklin was delivered in a velvet bag!  But you mean the real one!  I guess that was a marketing mistake at Brooklin!  😉 😎

Those Yat Mings are very well done. Do you have their Lincoln also ?

@karl

I thought the same as you. I would sure like to have seen that velvet bag.

No, I don't have that one. I had gotten the Ricko Continental, but sadly a few years later, inter-granular corrosion caused it's loss.

That's something, with their white metal construction, that the Brooklin 1/43 replicas don't suffer from. They still look great after all these years !

I wasn't satisfied with the color that the Rickos came in that's why I opted for the blue one from Yat Ming. It came nicely packaged just like the MK II.
