Strangely, a home improvement store in the Midwest distributes these plastic 1956 Ford cabover trucks. They are in 1:48th scale, are quite accurate and come in a number of versions. I took one of the Hershey box trucks and converted it into a stake bed with a scratch built bed and some other details like a spare tire, tail lamps, and dual rear view mirrors. These came from an Ebay vendor as Menards is not represented on the west coast. These trucks would likely have been powered by Ford's Y block V8 in either 292 or 312 cubic inch size. Four speed gearbox with possible two speed axles.
