A 1957 Desoto 2dr htp recently sold on eBay as a Conquest model. Can anyone clarify if Conquest made a 1957 Desoto hardtop ? My understanding is the 1957 & 1958 Desoto htps & convertibles are all WMCEs and the 4 doors are Western Models.

I'm also curious. Two different 1957 DeSoto 2 door hardtops have sold recently, one described as a Sportsman by Conquest and the other a Firedome by Western. Both sold at what I consider higher range, being over $200 for the Western and over $300 for the Sportsman (USD). Both were described as being in their original boxes, but no boxes were pictured. I am not familiar with either.

@d-m-holcombe Buz at route 66 just recently announced that he has a WMCE 1957 DeSoto Fireflite HD coming in May.

Correct Roger....I spoke to Buz a few weeks ago and he told me the '57 DeSoto would be a re-issue, not a new issue.
