Buick for 1958 boasted the most chrome of any car in the history of the Planet Earth. It was applied at the factory with a spatula. Then there was that grille with all those little teeny squares, all 160 of them. Brooklin’s replica, produced in three colors, Laurel Mist, Silver Mist, and Carlsbad Black, is a beauty and yessiree, there are 160 little teeny 1:43 scale squares in the grille just like the actual car. I counted them. Buyers stayed away from Buick stores in droves that year yet now these chrome laden jewels are prized by collectors. Beautiful car.

And here is a pair of vintage Vitesse 1958 Buicks one of which was the base for the black Caballero Estate Wagon which I think is now produced in a more contemporary fully built model.
