Hi guys, I posted a while back on Brooklin’s version of the color in a pinkish hue. As I mentioned then, I was going to repaint it to the oem shade of orchid. I am posting photos of the original and my repaint. I also, did more than just repaint the body but enhanced the interior and many other areas including bare metal and more. I also have some work in progress photos for John K.

It looks excellent ! The 1960 Ford was a sensational looking car and this Brooklin 1/43 model is a terrific convertible version of it.

Great work! I remember the 1960 Ford very well. I learned to drive in one.

Beautiful work. It just shows the potential that exists with these Brooklin models when they are updated by an expert.

@bob-jackman Thanks, Bob! I enjoy taking a Brooklin treasure to the next level, I believe it deserves. I have more projects in the future. This is why I, personally, lean towards white metal. There is something about the chrome plated metal that I gives the model a richer look than plastic. I still have some Danbury mint 1/24 and they are authentically done but with plastic chrome. I am sure that chrome plated metal would have been very costly. IMHO

An outstanding model. A favorite of mine from Brooklin, your craftmanship takes the model to a fabulous new look.
