1966 Le Mans 24 Hour Winner -- Ford GT40 Mk 2 #2 -- McLaren/Amon -- This time by Minichamps
I posted the CRM version yesterday. I have several different castings of this model. Here is the Minichamps.
Plus, The Atlas version.
I managed to find the Number 4 car in gold from 1966 Le Mans driven by Mark Donahue and Paul Hawkins. It did not finish the race. This is by Atlas also.
Finally, here is the third place finishing Number 5 car which is still on my should buy list. This is a picture of the actual car driven by Ronnie Bucknum and M Masta. This Number 5 GT40 was unique in that it was the only GT40 that ran with an automatic transmission at Le Mans.
I agree with Chris - keep 'em coming David and THANKS!
Isn't the #2 with the open engine cover a Minichamps, not Spark?
Correct Harv. Thanks. I have both but somehow I had mislabelled my images. I have corrected the post.
@chris Anybody has ever seen the big 1/10 scale Exoto GT 40? I bought one at the time it was sold through Danbury Mint. This was a very impressive model with more than 2000 parts. I have never owned again a model so accurate and detailed.
Here is a period review .....
