Minichamps did a nice ‘66 VW Squareback. What’s interesting to me is that normally the black painted wheels had trim rings to give the appearance of full wheel covers. In this case both the actual car as well as the Minichamps 1:43rd model are missing the trim rings.

I thought our old squareback, a '68, had silver painted wheels plus hubcaps?  But it's been a few years since i drove it...  Here it is in 1982...
