Like many motorsport fans I was very impressed of the 2019 Ford against Ferrari film.
Ford cars in 1/43 - main direction of my collection. Though Ford GT 40 which took part in many races including Le Mans was a Holy Grail for me.
Regarding aliexpress I found interesting variants made by Bang. These models had a great demand and I managed to purchase the last.
This is the 1968 Ford GT 40 Le Mans which carries number 11. It was driven by Jackie Olivier and Brian Miur. Unfortunately they didn't finish in that race.
The model was produced by Bang in 90s. This Italian company specialized mostly on motorsport vehicles which had precision quality and a reasonable price. Made in diecast they got excellent wheels and many separate details. Ford's bonnet is opening and you can see very well modelled engine.
Strictly speaking Ford GT 40 model was introduced in 1989- 90 when the company was operating as Best Models. In 1991 2 partners Marco Grassini and Carlo Tamburini separated their business. Marco continued as Best making previously Ferrari and Carlo- as Bang.
Best Models now is a part of M4 group. As to Bang production stopped in 2005.
Nice one ! It looks great and the color is superb on this Ford.
And speaking of Bang, a few days ago I listed on the for sale site a very comprehensive old catalogue of race cars of this genre. A great reference source of what was available back in 1997.

I've had both the Jouef and Bang versions of the Gulf GT40. But I always found something a bit off on both. Then I replaced them with versions by Ixo, which were better. But I could not resist a further upgrade to the Spark versions. Note that the Jouef did not cant the rear No. 6 roundel. No pic of the '69 car, sorry.
But I still have a ton of Ixo Ford GTs.
Thank you for making me salivate..lol. I love them all. I was able to get my youngest brother a couple of the Bang GT40s at a model show over here in the City of Commerce at an historic building called "The Citadel". I wish I had kept them for myself. My brother left California in 2014 so I don't even remember exactly how many years ago I bought these. The gentleman I bought them from had come up from San Diego area and he had a beautiful 1/18 scale model of an Opel GT. He didn't have the box for it but told me he would send it to me. Luckily my brother and I were traveling down that way in a week or so and he invited us over to his house. He had the most amazing collection of models and automobilia artwork I've ever seen. What didn't fit in his house was displayed in his garage and I'm talking hundreds of Tonka model trucks and other size models. His price possession was a 1941 Dodge pickup truck that his grandfather had owned that he was able to track down and restore to as new condition. He was even able to get gas ration stickers for it. My brother and I had such an enjoyable visit. Unfortunately the gentleman was dying of cancer and his sons had no interest in his model collection. I later sold that Opel model to Paul who religiously posted pics here. He and his wife were docents at a lighthouse in Central California. Paul would post pics of his motor and military models in beach scenes. I'm quite sure that some of us who have been here since the late '90s and early 2000s would remember Paul. He was a "Model Rockstar" to me. R.I.P. Paul ❤️

PS
Right now the only GT40s in my collection are 1/18ths from Shelby Collectibles. And I apologize if I've bored you.
Be honestly my aim is to score all 3 1966 Le Mans GT 40 which accrossed a finish line together. As I know Bang made plethora of Fords GT 40 but here is not easy to find them. I regulary examine all offers on the secondary market but no results. Ebay offers many versions in different liveries and I hope to purchase some of them when situation is changed.
By the way, Bang models made in 90s are much better than versions from 2000s packed into the boxes which marked by Revell logos. Don't know why, but last models by Bang have some with quality.
At this time a car by Ken Miles is obtained on ebay. It produced by CMR. Though I'd like to ask is CMR the same casting with IXO?
