Got these 2 new Matrix Alfas a few weeks ago.  Just now took their photos!

The first one is a nice 1963 Giulia GT Spider Prototipo, in bruin metallic (metallic brown). The brown looks a little sparkly in the photos below, but to the naked eye, it is spot-on and very close to the original color.

I bought the brown version because it represents the actual prototype spider in the Lopresto collection near Milan. The internal Alfa design center had developed a new Spider (convertible) for the range based on the Giulia GT and built the one prototype, but another design by Pininfarina won out. Their Duetto turned out to be a classic design and was produced in different forms for many years.

For reference here is the Duetto boat-tail design that won out (red by Vitesse, white by Schuco):

Next is the 6C 2500 Turismo Berlina 1950-1952, a classic large limousine by Alfa standards. I selected the black one because a real one (from 1947) was seen briefly in one of the Godfather movies, in black of course.

The 6C 2500 (2.5L straight-six) was a famous pre-war Alfa engine; Alfa continued to build it post-war still using coachbuilt bodies. So this Berlina is one of the last coachbuilt cars Alfa made, before they introduced the 1900 built on a production line in the early 1950s.

Finally, I had missed this reissued unit when they came out.  Corgi Toys were introduced by Mettoy in 1956. The first one was a Ford Consul saloon numbered 200, or 200M with a mechanical engine. As a kid, I did not really start until the late 1960s with my Corgi collection so I missed these first Corgis.  In 2006, Corgi reissued this car in a slighter larger scale for their 50th Anniversary!  In the same dull brown color as the original, I found it for a good price in the US.  Of course, nowadays, postage doubled the total cost.

From the online photos, I thought the gold cloth was just a vac-formed plastic insert, but it turned out to be a real cloth!  Very "chic"! 🤔

Wow, those are all nice. I'm pretty sure I remember the Alfa from The Godfather movie.  Isn't that the car that exploded when Michael's wife started it ?

Dang, I only saw the first 2 pics in your post !

@perrone1 Yeah that blast was a shame.  I felt bad for poor Michael Corleone but at least at the scene he found a shoulder to cry on.

Nickies caught me - the body style of the movie car was called the ‘Freccia d’Oro’ (Golden Arrow), a beautiful 2-door.

Alfa Romeo 6C in The Godfather

Minichamps made a nice one in 1/43.  Others have made it with a cloth opening roof, or as a cabriolet.

Karl - How does the Minichamps Duetto compare to the two versions you posted?

My daughter and I drove a real one in our 2nd Lane rally. The speedometer wouldn't indicate anything over 15 mph, which made adhering to the speed limit on the Natchez Trace Parkway a bit difficult.

But he couldn't tell if it was her left or right...at least she didn't suffer the "concrete boots" fate.
