Great looking wagons.  I look forward to it being done in civilian form!  My two color suggestions are Chestnut Metallic and Nugget Gold Metallic.

Seems to me, both these Ford wagons will sell, but I predict the Fire Chief's  car will be the bigger seller.

Question for all you "real"  1/43 collectors: Are there many 1/43 Firetrucks out there?

I do not think there are many 1/43 scale fire trucks. You will find some in 1/50, 1/32, and 1/64 scales.

@ed-davis - Harvey has a bunch of Road Signatures - I am not sure if he is online now or not...   See https://diecast.org/community/1_43/1935-mack-firetruck-by-road-signature/#post-14381

Here are a bunch of various 1/43 fire trucks on HobbyDB...

Thanks for information. However, if you want some nicely detailed fire trucks to go with a nicely detailed 1970 car, I think you  should consider 1/50 scale trucks.

Here's my Matchbox 1930 Ahrens Fox Quad that HobbyDB shows as 1/43. My Rolls Royce fire truck turned out to be 1/48, so I will need to look closer at the others to see what scale they are.

These each will be superb Ford station wagons ! The colors are excellent and the civilian versions should be excellent, too. I have several of the extremely well-done Yat Ming 1/43 firetrucks in their fine series, although most are older types. Certainly, regardless of how one displays these fire vehicles, they will be standout's in one's collection.

Though not inexpensive, there are some nice 1/50 scale trucks from Fire Replicas, which would look good with the 1970 Ford.

For some 43rd scale fire appliances, have a look at Diecast Direct's category Fire & Emergency on the left side of their opening page then select the scale your are interested in 50th,  48th or 43rd. Some are models of vintage equipment, some modern.  Lots of different model makers shown.

Good job on that FD roof light

Mars Aurora Borealis, model 400 don't think I've ever seen one in 1:43!

@john-quilter

I checked out Diecast Direct. I found a few 1/43 scale modern fire trucks by IXO.
