Saw this listed on eBay from a seller in China at a reasonable price. Couldn't pass up the chance to add a Chrysler to my collection.

From the GLM Models facebook page:

There are nine other models involved. Scroll a few posts down on Dave Gilbert's facebook page:

Yes, John, that is the packaging that it came in. If GLM didn't OK it, the seller in China shouldn't be using their name on it.

For what it's worth, the quality looks pretty good to me.

It looks great with the "real" GLM 1975 Chrysler Cordoba:

I believe the Newport is a real GLM, financed by GLM and crafted by the same factory that GLM uses, but when they were produced, GLM rejected them for whatever reason, and were not ok'd to sell with GLM's approval and packaging, but maybe the factory wasn't reimbursed by GLM for the labor and materials for the finished models, so the factory decided to sell them to get their costs back.

I am in no way condoning or condemning this practice.

If I am incorrect, I ask someone with more knowledge to please fill us in.

There must be a written contract between GLM and the entity that constructs the models and one would think this situation would be covered by language in that contract. I doubt we will be privy to the contract details.
