Ford Capri mk3 is a very lucky model in 1/43 scale. Many manufacturers like IXO, Minichamps, Norev and Vanguards made a plethora of variations.

Ford Motor Company vehicles is a central topic of my collection. Though, of course, all generations of Capri are must have for me.

Capri mk3 replaced previous version in 1978. This car was very successful in Europe and United Kingdom and was in production until December of 1986. This car reached a great fame in the iconic TV seies The Proffessionals being a personal vehicle of agents Bodie and Doyle.

Last week I received to my collection one of the latest models of Ford Capri mk 3 by Vanguards. Finished into Special Paris Blue color it looks very effective. Photo- etched windscreen wipers and register numbers add to this model a realism. By the way a miniature reproduces a real car which was bought in dealer's center in August of 1986.

I'm very pleased that Vanguards goes on making precision highquality diecast models.

@jack-dodds Yes, I agree with you. Very important that nowadays Vsnguards continues its operations in 1/43 scale making new versions of the current range and introducing new castings.

For example, Minichamps now only reissues previous models under Maxichamps subbrand.

@fred-eliseeff Minichamps releases new and classic F1 cars under their name, so not all is Maxichamps.
